The Charles W. Fairbanks Family Festival resulted from the village bicentenial celebration. Everyone enjoyed the festivities and socialization so much that it was a unanimous request to hold some kind of celebration every year. The idea was born.
A few village residents of Unionville Center met and shared ideas and ended with a committee comitted to bringing a festival to the village and surrounding areas. The festival name was chosen for it's historic value to the area. Charles W. Fairbanks was born just outside the village and later became Vice President of the United States under President Theodore Roosevelt from 1905-1909.
Our Mission has been to provide a family fun filled event with something for everyone! We have managed to grow bigger and better over the years earning a "Salute To Leaders" award from the Union County Chamber of Commerce in 2007. We would like for you to join us at the 2011 Charles W. Fairbanks Family Festival and let us know how we are doing
